Visions For Change launches its new “REEL CONVERSATIONS" film series with a screening of QuakerTown, USA with Filmmakers in Attendance.

Award-winning documentary explores the erased history of one of Texas' earliest Black communities.

DALLAS, TX – Visions For Change invites the community to a special screening of the acclaimed documentary QuakerTown, USA on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Interfaith Peace Chapel in Dallas.

Following the screening, guests will have the unique opportunity to participate in a live question-and-answer discussion with the film's co-directors and producers, King Hollis and Lindell Singleton, whose work has helped bring renewed attention to one of North Texas' most significant and often overlooked stories.

QuakerTown, USA tells the story of Quakertown, a thriving Black community established in Denton, Texas, that was ultimately displaced in the 1920s under the guise of civic progress.
